Chris Rietz works for Elderly Instruments and has made numerous fingerstyle guitar demo videos for use on Elderly's website or on its YouTube channel. He is much in local demand as a recording-studio sideman, and has appeared on recordings by such Michigan musical notables as Joel Mabus, Kitty Donohoe, Sally Rogers, Marty Somberg, Second Opinion and Pub Domain; he is also a member of the Celtic trio Party of Three, whose album "Modal Citizens" was issued on the Marimac label. He continues to be inspired by his musical heroes Merle Travis, Joseph Spence, Steve Mann, and all the great country blues guitarists. And - despite being somewhat scared by the prospect - he admits to wishing he played the banjo.
