Dan Walsh

Dan Walsh is one of the most accomplished and creatively eclectic clawhammer players and composers of the new generation. A native of Staffordshire in west-central England, he tours on the British and international folk club and festival circuits, and has produced three critically acclaimed CDs, including his most recent effort, Incidents & Accidents. Dan’s repertoire ranges from Celtic and “old-time” fiddle tunes to Scandinavian music, Eastern European music, and Indian ragas; he has even developed his own version of “clawgrass.” Dan has played with the British band Mother’s Ruin, the duo Walsh and Pound, and he is now also a member of the award winning Urban Folk Quartet; he also appears on stage and on record with the both the Levellers and Seth Lakeman.
