Lukas Pool

Lukas Pool was exposed to traditional old-time music and banjo-picking while growing up in Arkansas. He attended Berklee College Of Music, where he had the opportunity to study under such prominent musicians as Matt Glaser, Darol Anger, John McGann and Bruce Molsky. Since graduating from Berklee in 2012, Lukas has had the honor of returning there as a guest professor, recording with Darol Anger, and winning first prize twice at the National Old-Time Banjo Competition, held at Uncle Dave Macon Days in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He is now based in Portland Maine, where he builds banjos with Eden Forman under the name Ozark Banjo Company.
